Florence we have arrived

Florence is an immediate Wow factor. You feel like you are in a nice size college town, a bit old but well kept, until you turn a corner and....Wow! You are suddenly reminded in a powerful way that these are same streets, and essentially the sights (sans the Indian street hackers) that Michangelo, Medici, Leonardo  Divinci, and other masters roamed.

Loved all the scooters

The most famous bridge in Florence. So beautiful and important the the Germans did not blow it up as the retreated.

At one time it housed butchers so they could throw the remains over into the river. Due to the stench, the town changed it, and it all jewelry since the 1500's.

I simple love the door knockers and the are mounted on massive wooden doors.

This a panel in bronze on the Bellini doors.

In case I get hungry for Chinese. Bolognese Lo Mien?

This will be brief as we walked a lot, had an incredible meal, walked some more and now have only a few hours to catch some shut eye before our Tour of Classic Florence tomorrow morning.

Buono Sera....Ciao
