The hotel is located off the main square and has a long garden that is buffer and transporter from the high energy level of the piazza to a reserved calm of casual elegance. The hotel has been in Fiorentino family since 1834 and is an "Historic Site in Italy". It is old world charm and elegance with modern technology, plumbing, and features.
If I could I would have our suite replicated and brought back home. The colors were delightful yet restful, the ceilings were high and arched and looked like they were ready for a fresco to be painted.
Our room had a terrace which looked out over the Bay of Napoli from which we could see Mount Vesuvius. Directly below was the Sorrento Marina which I spent many hours watching the boats leave and return and the fascinating way that they manage the limited dock space and the way the packed boats into the moorings.
What makes this hotel so special besides the beautiful grounds, the incredible location, and the perfect room, is the the terrific staff. From security to bellman to the front desk, waiters, housekeeping, and especially the concierge, they all treat you as royalty. They are kind, respectful, dutiful, and all do their jobs as it is the only thing that matters. With a sincere Buon Giorno you are always made to feel welcome.

I am sensing a bedroom renovation in your future. I owe you some painting labor!
